The real big news (for us) is coming soon, right now we’re trying to decide on a tracklisting that works. The release date might rhyme with “Moon Thirst”. But you didn’t hear that from me.

I added some things to the site. The lyrics of Main Street are now in the Songs section. Speaking of Main Street, our friend Andy happened to get a video of that song at one of the practices where it was just starting to come together.

So we’re back in North Bay after six long days and seven short nights in the forest city. I can’t imagine having a better recording experience. It’s funny how spending hour after hour cooped up in a studio can warp your concept of time. The 10 tracks we laid down are just about complete, and although there is still a lot of mixing to do, they are sounding excellent. Endless thanks to Andy Magoffin for his fantastic ear, his patience and his ability to keep the four of us on track, despite our pickiness, hyperness, tiredness, and constant idiotic “that’s what she said” jokes. If everything stays on schedule, it looks like the album will be complete and available by the beginning of April. We’ll keep you posted on the progress…

So it’s been forever since anyone has posted on this thing. In the last couple of months we’ve been taking it fairly easy, but we’ve played some good shows and met some really nice bands in the process (Chasing Mercury, Their Majesties).

We’ll definitely have more to write about soon, because we’re going to be at the House of Miracles studio from January 18-23 with Andy Magoffin working on our first proper album.

In the meantime, we’re practising in the new jam space that we share with our friends in Azalea.
